The Multi-Ethnic Education and Engagement Center (MEC) at the University of Dayton has been an integral part of the community for over half a century. With such a rich and enduring history, MEC sought a visual representation that would effectively convey its story and its prominent presence at UD.

Our collaboration with MEC was a creative endeavor aimed at crafting visually stunning designs that harmonized with the university's branding guidelines. Collaborating with recent alumni of the center and UD’s graphic design program, we incorporated vibrant colors, striking photos of students who are part of the center's community, and thoughtfully selected quotes and phrases that eloquently expressed the center's mission.

One of the highlights of this project was the development of a visually captivating timeline wall. This installation serves as both a memorial to the center's remarkable history and a dynamic showcase of its ongoing contributions to the community. Working in close partnership with a local print installation company, we brought this vision to life.

This landmark project, achieved in collaboration with a former student graphic designer, remains a cherished and integral part of the MEC. At Umba, we are not only dedicated to creating digital designs but also to the intentional creation of installations and environmental graphic displays that leave a lasting impact.
